I'm Thankful for Memes

I'm thankful for memes
///I'm thankful for Ableton Live [for allowing talentless people to make shitty music]
///I'm thankful for Ray-Ban Wayfarers [for making it easier to pick the trendy people from a large crowd]
///I'm thankful for The Cobrasnake [for giving me coverage of all the rad parties I can't make it to]
///I'm thankful for HipsterRunoff [for delivering memes on a regular basis]
///I'm thankful for Pitchfork [for telling me what I have to listen to if I want to be cool]
///I'm thankful for mp3 blogs [for taking up space on my hard drive with obscure mp3's]
///I'm thankful for The Hype Machine [for pointing out the least obscure of the afformentioned 'obscure mp3's' so I won't waste time downloading them]
///I'm thankful for my altbros and althos [for accompanying me to my local dance parties]
///I'm thankful for fake ID's [for getting me into the afformentioned dance parties]
///I'm thankful for American Apparel [for making it possible to seem fashionable without actually being fashionable]
///I'm thankful for vinyl [I don't actually have any, but I feel like being thankful for it makes me more authentic]
///I'm thankful for my alternative life [for giving me a false sense of authenticity]

Borrowed Nostalgia

Dance music is in a really fucked up place these days.  Seriously, what the flying fuck.  What happened to the glory days when "blog-house" wasn't even a genre and Ableton Live didn't even exist.  Back before people thought thought laptops were legitimate instruments.
It's got me in a  'throw back' sort of mood.  The song that put an entire sub-culture into perspective.  Respect.

Tenorion

If you don't know what a Tenorion is yet, get acquainted.  It's essentially just another electronic sampler/sequencer but it has the added advantage of visual effects.  In other words, making the sampler more 'rave friendly.'  Just check out the video to get a better idea of how it works.
The video contains the very talented and equally beautiful Little Boots covering Hot Chip's "Ready For The Floor" with just a few pre-loaded samples.  Rad, I know.  I would love to pick one up, too bad it would set me back $1,200.  For that price, I could just buy two copies of Ableton and do work.
...But it makes music look so cool.

Genesis

This is the electro equivalent to the "Big Bang" [or maybe even Genesis if you luv Jebus].
I love how their smugness transcends the decades and is as palpable today as it was back then.
I wonder if I could be the next Justice if I got an analog synth/sequencer like that.  Probably.  I might even have the edge on them since I've got Ableton and they don't.  SUCKAS
